is a design only service? Will you print my design for me?back

So many people print their own digital photographs these days, using
on-line services, local labs, or their own photo printers. We thought
you'd appreciate a design-only service where you have the flexibility
to print as many announcements as you need. And if you don't print
enough the first time? You have the file to print more! With our
design-only birth announcement serivce we do just that - design
only. We don't print your announcements for you. Instead, you purchase
our expertise and skill in design and photo enhancement, and we
send you the file you approve to print as you see fit. You can print
it wherever you'd like, as few or as many as you'd like! Use a local
1-hour service, and you can have your announcements ready just 1
hour after you receive your file!
If you'd like

offers custom
photo birth announcement designing plus printing on either photo
paper or heavy coverstock.
What
is included in my $49 design fee? back to top
For the base price of $49, you receive unlimited revisions using
the two photos you submit with your order. We'll enhance your photos
so they look like they could have been taken in a professional photographer's
studio, and make them the color you choose (black and white, sepia-tone,
color, etc). We'll artistically combine your images, giving your
announcement a truly unique look. Your details will be added to
the bottom part of the announcement in the design you choose. And
you get to select the colors, wording and font(s)! Additional items
include: photo colorization for $15, or add a third photo to the

How
do I get my photos to you? Can I send more than two?back

You can upload, email, or mail your photos, and you will make this
selection during the ordering process. You can upload 2 or
3 photos (max size 2 megs each, in JPG format only) after you place
your birth announcement
order. Or you can choose to email your digital photos.
Your file should be at least 1200x800 pixels in order to
ensure you get the best results. Make sure to send the full image,
not one put through an email program that will shrink it, like Kodak
Share. You can also mail your lab-printed photo to us and
we will scan it for you at no charge.
Whichever method
you choose, make sure you send the full-size image, and not one
that has been reduced in size. If you're uploading, emailing, or
mailing a digital image, you might check your camera's manual to
make sure you are taking your photo at the highest resolution. This
will ensure there will be no delay in getting your proof.
Unlimited revisions
are for the photos in your original design. Your design fee includes
two photos. If you order a 3-photo design, there is an additional
$10 fee. If you decide to change a photo after your proof has been
created, there will be an additional $19 fee for the additional
photo work that is required. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal,
so please make sure you select photos you're happy with.
Can
I purchase 4x6 envelopes, or 5x7 envelopes, from you? Can you print
my return address on them for me? back to top
Yes, you can purchase 4x6 envelopes or 5x7 envelopes from us. All
our envelopes are high-quality, 70# white envelopes with a square
flap. Our 4x6 envelopes are made just for us! You won't find a higher
quality available anywhere else on the web. Envelopes are $0.25
each. Shipping is $5.95.
Save time! We
also offer an additional, optional service to print your return
address centered on the envelope flap.
Your address will be centered, and printed on the envelope flap
in the design you prefer below, using a font that matches your announcement
design. Cost: 30¢ each.

How
will I know that I like it? back to top
Once we create your proof, we'll email it to you. We'll make any
changes to the design you ordered, and if changes are made, another
proof will be sent to you. Once you approve your proof, your order
will be finalized so you can receive your file for printing.
What
payment methods are accepted? back to top
We accept all major credit cards through Paypal, a secure, on-line
payment processor. During the ordering process, you'll be seamlessly
directed to our secure Paypal payment page to receive your payment.
And you don't need a Paypal account! You'll be surprised how simple
it is.
How
long before I get my proof? back to top
Within two business days (M-F) after receiving your photos &
design details. Make sure to check your email often! Please
make sure @chouettedesign.com is on your "approved sender"
list or "whitelist" and/or in your "address book".
Do
you have any photo-taking tips? back to top
Well sure I do! First, make sure the photo you take is clear and
free from shadows. Use the flash unless you have really good light.
If you're using a digital camera, make sure you're using a high
resolution setting, and always use the flash unless you're taking
the photo outside in the bright sun! Put your baby in a natural
position if possible. You can always have someone hold the baby
but keep their hands out of the way. Then I can either remove the
background, or blur it to keep the focus on your baby. Read our

Can
I order a printed sample? back to top Yes
you can. I will send you a printed
sample in both 4x6 and 5x7 so you can decide which size you'd
like, and so you can see how your printed announcement might look
once you order your own prints after recieving your high-resolution
file.
